An Accountant organizes and maintains financial records and prepares financial statements for companies and organizations. Works as a public accountant (prepares financial documents where public disclosure is required by law, such as business balance sheets and tax returns), management accountant (prepares financial information for internal use by a company) or government accountant (maintains records for government agencies).
Client Accounting Services Senior| CAAS/ Advisory | Dartmouth, MA (Hybrid). Most Senior Accountant roles are about output. This one is about impact. If you enjoy accounting but also want exposure to advisory and some tax, this will give you just that. You will be doing interesting, varied work without the usual busy season hours model at most CPA firms. You'll need a working knowledge of tax so you can have holistic conversations with clients about the firm's full service offering but you won't be bogged down in preparing tax returns yourself. The firm is looking for a Senior Accountant, ideally one to two years from Manager, who wants broader exposure across accounting and advisory. You won't be stuck just closing the books. You'll be involved in conversations that actually shape client decision and mentoring junior accountants. You'll work with a range of small businesses. That means pace, variety, and real client access. It also means your work matters. You'll see the impact of what you do. Day to day, that includes: Month-end and ongoing accounting support Financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting Management reporting and dashboards Helping clients use their financials to make better decisions Hours and working style Hybrid role with 3 days per week in the Dartmouth office Busy periods can reach around 55 hours at the absolute most. Work is largely month-to-month, not seasonal. No "easy summers, brutal winters" model. This is steady, commercial accounting work with advisory exposure, not a compliance treadmill. Who this suits Strong accounting background Comfortable working directly with clients Interested in advisory-style work Wants to grow into a Manager role over time Looking for stability and a firm that develops people properly You'll get: 5-10% bonus, tied to firm performance Full benefits including retirement match and healthcare If you want a Senior Accountant role that expands your skillset instead of narrowing it, and a firm that treats Manager as a destination not a carrot you chase, this is worth a conversation. If you'd like to know more, hit apply and I'll be in touch. Prefer a chat first? Call or text Rebecca Sherman on 6172718035 or find me on LinkedIn at Rebecca Sherman, Distinct North America. Not sure you tick every box? Apply anyway. If this role isn't the right fit, there's a good chance we'll have another Public Accounting opportunity that is. INDMAS |
