full-time Construction Accountant - AP/AR - Up to $72k Our client, a well-established construction organization, is hiring a Construction Accountant to support AP/AR. This is a newly created position designed to serve as a key partner to the Accounting Manager and provide hands-on support across both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of AP and AR experience within the construction industry.

•Hybrid schedule after training Responsibilities Process and apply customer cash receipts and cash applications. Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processing and daily accounting activities. Review invoices and route accounting documentation for appropriate approvals. Run AP aging reports and coordinate vendor payment schedules. Maintain vendor and customer records and resolve discrepancies as needed. Review and process construction change orders. Address vendor tax issues and maintain appropriate tax documentation. Prepare and maintain banking worksheets associated with payment cycles. Assist with use tax reporting, verification, and payments. Process insurance payments and related reconciliations. Maintain construction-related accounting records, contracts, and project documentation. Prepare Accounts Receivable and other accounting reports. Support credit card processing and reporting. Assist with 1099 preparation and annual vendor information review. Maintain tax-exempt certificates and supporting documentation for qualifying projects. Provide month-end and year-end accounting support, including audit preparation. Provide backup coverage across AP and AR functions during absences and periods of increased workload. Partner closely with the Accounting Manager on departmental priorities and special projects. Qualifications 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience required. 2+ years of Accounts Receivable experience required. Construction industry accounting experience required. Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred but not required.
