Job Description

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Controller/Senior Accountant to join our team. This role is vital in managing financial operations, ensuring accurate accounting practices, and supporting construction project financials. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction cost accounting, with proficiency in WIP calculations, Sage 300 CRE or Timberline, and cash management. This position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic environment where precision and strategic financial oversight are essential. Duties Manage the preparation of Work-In-Progress (WIP) calculations to accurately reflect project statuses and financial health. Maintain and reconcile accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and cash management processes to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions. Utilize Sage 300 CRE or Timberline software for accounting functions, reporting, and project cost tracking. Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Prepare detailed financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for construction projects. Monitor project costs and variances, providing insights for cost control and profitability analysis. Support audit processes by maintaining organized financial records and documentation. Collaborate with project managers, finance team members, and external auditors to ensure seamless financial operations. Experience Minimum of five years of experience in construction cost accounting or a related field. Proven expertise in WIP calculations is required. Experience working with Sage 300 CRE or Timberline is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of AP, AR, and cash management processes within a construction environment. Demonstrated ability to manage complex financial data accurately and efficiently. Excellent analytical skills coupled with attention to detail and organizational abilities. Pay:
$75,000.00 - $97,500.00 per year
