Client/Job Summary:
An international manufacturer is seeking a Cost Accountant to support the Cost Accounting Manager in daily accounting functions. This position sits at the intersection of finance and operations, owning day‑to‑day cost analysis, inventory accuracy, and manufacturing reporting. You'll work closely with plant teams and finance leadership to ensure cost data is accurate, actionable, and decision‑ready. You'll gain exposure to real operational decision‑making, work closely with experienced leadership, and build deep expertise in manufacturing finance and accounting, all in an environment that values accuracy, ownership, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze manufacturing costs and variances across materials, labor, and overhead Support inventory controls including cycle counts, production reporting, and reconciliations Assist with month‑end close, inventory reporting, and audit support Maintain and analyze bills of materials, standard costs, and purchase price variances Build reports and insights that help operations operate smarter and more efficiently
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration. Experience in cost accounting and inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Experience with Excel and ERP systems and month-end close processes. Sharp analytical instincts and attention to detail.
