Job description The CPA Tax professional plays a critical role in managing comprehensive tax functions for a diverse client base that includes individual taxpayers, small businesses, large corporations, and non-profit organizations. This position involves leading audit processes, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, and delivering expert consultation without the requirement for travel. The role demands a detail-oriented and analytical approach to tax preparation, planning, and filing, as well as robust client communication to support effective financial decision-making. Responsibilities Prepare accurate tax returns for individuals, businesses, and organizations Develop and implement strategic tax planning initiatives Review compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations Support and lead audit procedures and documentation processes Provide expert consultation to clients on tax-related matters Conduct regulatory research to stay current with tax laws and changes Manage timely tax filing and document organization Assess and mitigate tax-related risks Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in tax accounting Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of tax compliance and financial reporting standards Familiarity with IRS regulations and procedures Experience using tax software such as TurboTax and Lacerte Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) Demonstrated analytical thinking and attention to detail Effective client communication skills Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $50.00 - $60.00 Per Hour
