We are currently seeking a seasoned and detail-oriented Senior Tax Associate to join our growing firm. We value work-life balance - overtime is occasional during busy season, but it is not the norm. Role Description This is a full-time role for a Bookkeeper/Tax Accountant. Part-time/contract work is also available depending on circumstances. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including creating financial statements, regularly updating accounting software, posting journal entries, and maintaining financial records. This role will be primarily located in the Greater Tampa Bay Area (offices in South Tampa and Plant City), with flexibility for some remote work. Duties/Qualifications Conduct thorough account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial statements. Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for tax savings. Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. Preparation of financial statements. Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, providing guidance, and building strong client relationships Proficiency in relevant QuickBooks accounting software Ability to post journal entries and maintain financial records with accuracy and attention to detail Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Preparation of tax returns is a plus Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is a plus
