Ability to work with PDF and Microsoft products to include Excel, Word, etc. Knowledge of Tax Software and QuickBooks accounting software, attention to detail, strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, patience and flexibility.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and review client accounting records.
• Prepare individual, fiduciary, corporate and partnership tax returns including multi- state returns.
• Prepare Estate and Gift Tax Returns.
• Calculate, review and file quarterly tax estimates and extension payments.
• Preparation of Financial Statements.
• Preparation of miscellaneous and informational tax filings.
• Provide tax consulting to individuals and businesses.
• Reviews tax returns/ work files for completeness, accuracy and compliance; communicates with and trains staff on areas needing improvement.
• Understand and research basic to moderately complex tax concepts and apply to client situations; communicate results with clients.
• Responds to IRS and State Tax Notices.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills:

• Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures.
• Familiarity with accounting and tax software.
• Computer literacy.
• Excellent analytical and time management skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong numeracy skills.
• Attention to detail.
• BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant subject; industry certification (e.g. CPA) is preferred.
• 2-5 years' experience with tax preparation with a public accounting firm preferred.
