We are recruiting for our dynamic, growing client in Cleveland who is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Fund Accountant to support accounting and reporting activities across a diverse portfolio of private investment funds. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career (with 1-2 years of experience including relevant internship experience) to build a strong foundation in private equity and alternative investments. You will work closely with experienced finance professionals, fund administrators, and external partners in a collaborative environment designed to support learning, growth, and long-term career development in fund accounting. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate general ledger records Perform account reconciliations, including bank and cash reconciliations across multiple funds Monitor daily cash activity and assist with cash management processes Support maintenance of investor capital account balances under supervision Assist in the preparation of quarterly investor reporting and deliverables Prepare investor capital account statements using fund accounting systems Contribute to quarterly reporting and annual GAAP financial statement preparation Support audit and tax processes by coordinating with external auditors and tax advisors Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including fund managers and legal advisors Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 1-2 years of accounting experience (internships and entry-level roles considered) Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate level or higher) Strong written and verbal communication skills Exposure to partnership accounting, private funds, or real estate is a plus Experience with fund accounting systems (e.g., Investran or similar) is a plus Why This Role?
