Responsibilities:

Take ownership of maintaining accurate and audit-ready financial records in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Lead and manage the month-end close process, ensuring all activities are completed accurately and on schedule. Maintain the general ledger and verify that financial transactions are recorded correctly and completely. Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and related supporting documentation. Examine invoices to confirm accuracy, appropriate coding, and proper documentation. Manage daily accounts payable functions and ensure transactions are processed accurately and efficiently. Analyze account balances, financial activity, and variances to support the integrity of the company's financial records. Ensure accounting activities comply with applicable company policies, government contracting requirements, and relevant FAR, CAS, and GAAP standards. Collaborate closely with the Controller and Financial Analyst on accounting, reporting, and financial activities. Support financial reporting and assist with additional accounting responsibilities as business needs arise. Serve as a versatile member of the Finance team, taking on multiple responsibilities across various accounting functions. Work independently, exercise sound judgment, and take ownership of assigned responsibilities. Contribute to maintaining strong financial controls and ensuring records are accurate, compliant, and prepared for audits.

Qualifications:

5+ years of accounting experience Strong general ledger (GL) experience and proven month-end close experience Experience with government contracting accounting Knowledge of FAR, CAS, and GAAP requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field
