POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for a Junior Accountant to join our team in Washington D.C. .You will be supporting our Accounting Department in all accounting aspects of our US operations and report directly to the Corporate Controller of the company. In the role as a Junior Accountant, you will be expected to perform 'standard' accounting work re-quiring application of standard techniques and procedures. Using prescribed methods, you will per-form specific and limited segments of more experienced accountants' broader assignments. Assignments may include higher-level work for training/developmental purposes. It is expected that you will exercise good judgment and seek the guidance of supervisors and/or other team members when less common methods or procedures are necessary. Your supervisor will screen assignments for unusual complexities and assist with the selection of non-routine techniques and procedures to be applied.JOB DESCRIPTION AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Junior Accountant will Assist with cash receipts processing, A/R billing & coordinating invoicing with project managers; Assist with A/P invoice entry & payments Assist with payroll review & processing Assist with general ledger entries, budgeting, revenue & expense variance analysis & cash flow forecasting; Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and statements; Perform other accounting, financial or administrative tasks as needed; Work in an international environment that requires communication with multicultural teams.REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance or related field. 1-3 years of work experience in Accounting for a consulting firm (previous experience with A/E/C industry highly preferred). Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer. Must be fluent in English (verbal and in writing). Experience with US GAAP accounting methods. Excellent computer skills on MS Office. Excellent knowledge and experience with accounting software and databases; experience with Deltek Vision / Deltek Vantagepoint highly preferred. Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Strong multi-tasking and time management skills. Positive, friendly, and professional personality. Ability to handle ambiguous situations and use best-judgment to determine priorities. Ability to manage multiple time-critical tasks. Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with corporate management and project managers. Willingness to learn and take on new tasks and responsibilities. The position requires self-directed work with minimum guidance.Pay:
