Job Description

Position Overview:
The Lease Accountant is responsible for assisting in the management of all leases and subleases for the company. This includes assisting with the Lease Management System, processing and tracking reconciliations, as well as supporting time-sensitive requests.Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field, or 4 years of accounting/lease experience required 2 additional years of accounting/lease experience required Experience working with leases in some capacity preferred (lease abstracting, rent payment, lease administration, lease analyst, etc.) Ability to read and interpret Leases Key Result Areas (KRAs): Process and track rent and reconciliations: Monthly Rent processing using Lucernex and Microsoft Dynamics software Monthly reconciliation of all Rents to the GL System Coordination with Accounting team members to ensure timely Check and ACH payments Monthly updates to base rents, additional rents, and payees Preparing one-off reimbursements Ability to calculate CPI Increases, apply CAM Caps, and prepare reconciliations Tracking and timely payment of real property taxes Tracking and reconciliation of security deposits Enter and track new leases within the Lease Management System timely and accurately: Coordinate with other departments to ensure critical dates are correct Ensure all necessary documents are gathered, complete, correct, and filed Set up rent payments in accordance with the lease Resolve payee, rent, and other discrepancies Coordinate, report, and assist with lease processes: Comprehension of FASB lease accounting standard and application for reporting and posting of monthly journal entries Research and prepare audit support for time-sensitive requests W-9 tracking and 1099 preparation Assist team members with lease-related questions and support as needed Other duties as assignedLocation Requirement:
This role is located in the Greater Phoenix, Arizona area. This position is required to be in office 4 days per week (Mon-Thurs); Fridays are optional remote work days.Skills:

Hearing must be sufficient or correctable to ensure clear understanding of spoken information, including participating in virtual meetings and phone calls. Use of hearing aids or other assistive devices is acceptable if needed.Reading and Writing Proficiency:
Ability to read and write in English is essential for processing documents, drafting reports, and following up on necessary actions. Proficiency in written communication is required to handle job-related tasks effectively.Vision Requirements:
Vision must be adequate or correctable to perform essential job duties, such as reading documents on a computer screen and using other visual tools. Use of corrective lenses or other measures to meet visual requirements is expected if needed.Technology Proficiency:
Must be proficient in operating a computer and other office productivity tools such as printers, scanners, and collaboration software.Effective Communication:
Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders via email, video conferencing, and other in office communication tools.Compensation:
