This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in accounting, tax compliance, and financial analysis within a flexible, part-time capacity. You will play a vital role in managing client accounts, preparing tax returns, and ensuring regulatory compliance while supporting various financial projects. Your proactive approach and strong technical skills will contribute significantly to our commitment to delivering exceptional financial services. Duties Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns with precision and adherence to current tax laws and regulations Conduct comprehensive financial statement preparation, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports using accounting software such as QuickBooks and other financial tools Perform detailed account reconciliations, general ledger accounting, and balance sheet analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) Assist with estate planning, wills, trusts, and estate law-related financial strategies for clients Support regulatory compliance accounting initiatives including SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) reporting requirements Provide insightful financial analysis for mergers & acquisitions, asset management, and private equity investments Communicate effectively with clients regarding tax reporting, financial concepts, and audit procedures while maintaining high standards of client service Qualifications Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification required with active licensure Proven experience in accounting and finance roles, including public accounting or corporate tax expertise Strong knowledge of tax law, tax reporting, and tax compliance procedures across various sectors including individual tax and corporate tax Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Quicken, or similar platforms; experience with regulatory compliance software is a plus Solid understanding of GAAP standards, technical accounting principles, double-entry bookkeeping, and financial statement interpretation Excellent analysis skills with the ability to perform account reconciliation, financial analysis, and budgeting effectively Familiarity with securities law, auditing processes, payroll management, accounts payable/receivable, and asset management practices Exceptional client communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly and professionally Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Join us as a Part-Time CPA to leverage your expertise in a flexible setting that values your professional growth.
