Outsourced Accounting Services Intern - Fall 2026 Buffalo Office or Hybrid (Combo Office/Remote) $20/hour Apply Now Description Get a true glimpse into the accounting profession when you join Lumsden McCormick's internship program. Our paid interns are not filing, making copies, or delivering coffee; after an in-house orientation program you will begin working immediately on real jobs. Your days will closely mirror that of an Accounting Services Specialist, complete with training, mentoring, and direct client access. Learn the work as you do the work alongside our experienced specialists. Responsibilities Assist with day-to-day bookkeeping activities for clients using accounting software Prepare bank reconciliations and assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable processing Assist with monthly and year-end closing procedures Maintain accurate financial records, supporting documentation, and client files Support the accounting team with special projects and other administrative tasks as assigned Requirements The ideal candidate will be pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and strong organization skills A willingness to work in a team environment
Internship Details Duration:
September 2026 through December 2026 Minimum commitment of 16 hours per week, with shifts being a minimum of 4 hours each Shifts may be scheduled at any time between 8 AM and 5 PM, Monday through Friday, allowing flexibility around class schedules, with extended flexibility once the intern is able to work independently Remote and hybrid work options are available Non-exempt employee status, entitled to overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 hours per week Company Culture Our firm prides itself on fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
