About this position:
If you are a passionate, skilled and service-focused Project Accountant and are looking for a place where you can use your unique qualities to make a difference, we have an ideal position for you! We are currently seeking a qualified Project Accountant to join our growing team. This position is based out of our corporate office in Crystal Lake, IL with hybrid remote options. You will work alongside our accounting group to deliver accounting services to our construction team, vendors, and clients.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit monthly payment applications, G702 & G703, sworn statements and waivers per client requirements
- Follow up and collect on all billings
- Enter project related Accounts Payable
- Coordinate vendor compliance, including subcontracts and insurance
- Ensure subcontractor/supplier waivers are received and correct
- Process prime contract change orders and subcontractor change orders
- Effectively communicate with construction team regarding contract documents, change orders, sub billings and compliance
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Detail oriented and ability to multitask
- A college degree in accounting/business administration is desired, but equivalent experience in these fields will be considered
- Thorough knowledge of basic construction accounting principles (AIA documents, retainage, lien waivers)
- Minimum of 2 years construction accounting experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Proficiency in Viewpoint Vista and Procore a plus
