The Project Accountant is responsible for providing accounting services to the Company, clients, and third-party companies to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations. Key Responsibilities:
Maintain up-to-date client data base, filing system and accounting records, Generate and send out invoices according to specific deadlines, Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities, Research and resolve payment discrepancies and customer queries and process approved adjustments, Communicate with customers and Project Managers via phone, email, mail or personally, Review contracts/proposals for billing/payment terms, Appropriately prepare and schedule invoicing to meet contractual requirements, Ensure that receipts for project expenses and reimbursements are complete and accurate, Verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures, Verify work-in-progress (WIP) and WIP held on projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
AA degree or higher in Accounting, Finance or Business, preferred, 2+ years of accounts receivable experience, 2+ years of invoice processing experience, Prior experience in Architectural, Engineering, or Construction Industry preferred, Ability and willingness to adapt and learn new processes and programs, Ability to prioritize concurrent projects and deadlines, Excellent technical and communication skills. $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
