Job Description
Works in conjunction with Accounting Dept. Works in tandem with Program Manager Reports to
Controller Annual Base Salary:
$85,000-$105,000 (range depends on experience) Weekly Cell and Internet phoneAllowance:
$150.00Quarterly Uniform Allowance Program:
$250.00 Weekly Payroll Schedule (Annual based on 52 weeks)Vacation Pay:
Accrual rate based upon worked hours available after 90 days of hire.Sick Pay:
5 Days (or 40 hours) Sick Pay Available within 90 days of hire Health, Dental and Vision Benefit-100% covered for Employee (dependents available at EE's cost) available within 30 days of hire 401(k) matching at 4% available after 1 year of hire (12 consistent months) within the first available enrollment schedule. Monday - Friday, 6am-2:30pm (- Extended hours, early show up and weekends as needed depending on workload) Remote and available for weekly Chico Headquarter meetings We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to support both project management and accounting functions within a construction environment.
- Track and analyze project progress, budgets, and timelines across multiple construction jobs
- Assist with job costing , including monitoring labor, materials, subcontractor, and equipment expenses
- Compare actual project costs to estimates and identify variances
- Support project managers with cost forecasts and budget updates
- Prepare project status reports, cost analysis summaries, and WIP (Work-in-Progress) reports
- Assist in managing project documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs, and submittals
- Monitor subcontractor performance and cost impacts Accounting & Financial Support
- Support progress billing and ensure accuracy of invoicing
- Reconcile job costs with the general ledger
- Assist with monthly job cost reporting and financial close processes
- Maintain accurate financial records for audits and compliance
- Support budget preparation and project-level financial forecasting Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1-3+ years of experience in construction accounting, project analysis, or similar role
- Strong understanding of job costing and construction financial workflows
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (cost tracking, pivot tables, data analysis)
- Experience with construction/accounting software (e.g., Sage 100/300, Procore, Viewpoint, QuickBooks)
- Knowledge of construction documentation and processes (contracts, change orders, billing)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with union payroll or certified payroll reporting
- Understanding of construction compliance requirements (lien laws, retention, etc.)

Pay:
