Job description Job Overview TriSource Staffing Solutions is supporting a company located in Gaithersburg, MD who is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Property Accountant to join their finance team on a temporary to hire basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records related to property management, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and providing accurate financial reporting. This role requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in accounting software to support budgeting and forecasting efforts. Responsibilities Perform account analysis and maintain accurate financial records for multiple properties. Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports in accordance with GAAP standards. Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping. Conduct general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy in financial reporting. Utilize software tools such as Quicken and PeopleSoft for effective financial management. Collaborate with property management teams to provide insights on financial performance and assist in decision-making processes. Prepare detailed financial reports for stakeholders, highlighting key metrics and variances. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Proven experience in property accounting or a similar role is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including GAAP. Proficiency in accounting software (Quicken, PeopleSoft) and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform detailed account analysis. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively. Effective communication skills for report writing and collaboration with team members. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
