Senior Accountant (Remote) | QuickBooks

+ AI-Driven Accounting 100% Remote | Long-Term Contract Opportunity Are you a Senior-level accountant who enjoys being hands-on with the accounting function while embracing technology and AI to improve efficiency? We're partnering with an innovative healthcare technology organization seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team in a highly visible, long-term remote opportunity. This role is ideal for someone who can operate strategically while still rolling up their sleeves to handle the day-to-day accounting activities that keep the business moving. You'll work closely with Senior finance leadership and play a key role in month-end close, financial reporting, revenue accounting, process improvement, and leveraging AI tools to enhance accounting operations. What You'll Be Doing

+ Own and manage daily accounting operations within QuickBooks

+ Lead month-end and year-end close processes

+ Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations

+ Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate general ledger activity

+ Prepare financial statements and management reporting packages

+ Support AP, AR, cash management, billing, and revenue recognition activities

+ Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and audit support

+ Analyze financial results and provide meaningful insights to leadership

+ Identify opportunities to improve processes through automation, AI tools, and technology

+ Partner directly with Senior financial leadership in a fast-paced remote environment What We're Looking For ✅ Strong QuickBooks experience (required) ✅ Senior-level accounting experience with the ability to remain hands-on ✅ Experience preparing:

+ Journal entries

+ Account reconciliations

+ Bank reconciliations

+ Month-end close

+ Financial reporting ✅ Strong Excel skills ✅ Experience utilizing AI tools within an accounting or finance environment to improve efficiency, reporting, analysis, reconciliations, workflows, or process automation ✅ Experience with revenue recognition, contract accounting, or recurring revenue models preferred Bonus Points For

+ CPA or CPA-track

+ SaaS, healthcare technology, healthcare services, or professional services background

+ Experience supporting growing or entrepreneurial organizations

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Stamford, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
