Job Description

Financial Statement and Advisory Services Ledgers Inc. is looking for a Senior Account Manager to prepare accurate financial statements, work directly with clients, and turn financial information into practical guidance. This role serves a variety of business clients and owns the work from preparation through the client conversation. This is a full-time position based in Watertown, South Dakota, with onsite or hybrid work options. You will build long-term relationships and help clients better understand their businesses. What You Will Do
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for assigned business clients.
  • Complete general ledger work, reconciliations, adjusting entries, workpapers, and supporting schedules.
  • Review results for unusual activity, missing items, and trends that should be discussed with the client.
  • Meet with clients to explain financial statements, answer questions, and provide practical advisory support within the engagement scope.
  • Build trusted relationships through clear communication and timely follow-up while coordinating with bookkeeping, payroll, sales tax, and tax team members.
  • Keep projects, deadlines, notes, and client communication current in our practice management system; follow Ledgers' Core Processes and raise issues early. What You Bring
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial statement preparation.
  • Confidence talking with clients, explaining financial information, identifying trends, and providing practical guidance.
  • Strong organization, accuracy, judgment, and follow-through across multiple clients and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Desktop, Excel, and Word; public accounting or multi-client experience strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Must be able to work onsite in Watertown as part of an onsite or hybrid schedule. What We Offer

$25.00 - $32.00 per hour
