knowledge, hands-on general ledger experience, and a solid background in journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis. This role is heavily involved in both accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including billing, cash application, collections support, and AR auditing to ensure timely and accurate payments. Additional responsibilities include maintaining balance sheet integrity, supporting month-end and year-end close activities, assisting with audits, and contributing to financial reporting. Experience with expense tracking, accruals, prepaid accounts, payroll-related entries, and royalty or revenue-related accounting is highly valued. Cost accounting exposure is a strong plus. The role requires someone who is analytical, detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and comfortable working in the "weeds" of accounting operations while also supporting broader financial reporting needs. Strong Excel skills (including pivot tables and lookup functions) are required, along with experience using an ERP or large accounting system. Responsibilities Maintain and reconcile liability and expense accounts, ensuring accuracy of journal entries and supporting documentation Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and expense reports Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Oversee AR processes including billing, cash application, collections, and account reconciliation Audit receivables to ensure accuracy and timely payment resolution Support AP processing, vendor communication, and payment issue resolution Ensure proper coding and posting of invoices in line with accounting policies Assist with payroll journal entries and payroll-related reconciliations Maintain accruals, prepaid expenses, and related balance sheet accounts Support payroll data accuracy in coordination with HR/finance teams Assist with month-end and year-end close activities Support internal and external audit requests and documentation Help ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls Assist with tax-related filings and financial reporting requirements as needed Work within an ERP/accounting system to maintain financial data integrity Support system updates, testing, and process improvements when needed Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting required 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles Experience with AR, AP, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, financial analysis) Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, or similar) Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities
