Senior Accountant

Job DescriptionJob Description Our client located in Woodbury is looking to hire an experienced Senior Accountant on a direct hire basis. This Senior Accountant position is a full time role and is on site 4 days per week and 1 day remote. The hours are standard but you would need to put in additional hours as needed during tax season. Our client is a well-established accounting firm that focuses on high net worth clients.

JOB TITLE

Senior Accountant

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

(Includes but not limited to)

• Focus on preparation of high net worth individual tax returns including multi-state income, brokerage statements, and K-1s.
• Related exposure to preparation of fiduciary income tax returns for trusts and estates and business entity returns.
• Strong communication skills. Will have ability to own client relationships and discuss return preparation with clients.
• Strong computer skills - Excel utilized for client workbooks and Lacerte program for tax preparation.
• Direct contact and training from manager and partner - will work directly under Partner/Manager as part of Private Client Service.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative team environment and group setting.

QUALIFICATIONS

:

• 3-5 years of experience in public accounting preferred
• Strong analytical and accounting skills, ability to learn on the job in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to proactively identify and propose solutions to solve problems to drive and meet recurring deadlines
• Ability to work both independently and part of a team to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
• Knowledge of accounting principles
• Skilled in communicating effectively with others and working in team settings
• Must possess strong communication skills both oral and written
• Detail-oriented, organized and structured

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.

Salary is based upon experience but the target is $135k-1555k plus bonus and a complete benefits package.
