Job Description
Senior Accountant Responsibilities:
- Prepare day-to-day transactions (i.e., Ar/AP, prepaid, fixed assets, etc.),
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, as well as detailed income statement analysis.
- Assist in preparing financial reports, account reconciliations, audit preparations.
- Manage and take responsibly for transactional accounting processes, such as Procure-to-Pay and Order-to-Cash.
- Have a hand in developing accounting policies and procedures.
- Ad hoc projects to support the development of the Company as needed.
Requirements:
- Requires strong GAAP knowledge; revenue recognition for SaaS companies (ASC 606).
- Be comfortable working in a fast-growth startup and being a self-starter.
- The ability to critically think and make corresponding conclusions, including the ability to detect patterns and interpret incomplete data.
- The ability to work in a diverse work environment and be nimble with shifting priorities.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 3+ years of relevant experience, mix of public accounting and private industry experience strongly preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail, including self-review, and detailed project management skills.
- Be proficient with Netsuite, Microsoft and Google Suite, Ramp, Floqast, etc.
- An active CPA or pursuing license.
- Prior experience at a start-up This is a hybrid role requiring two days per week onsite at our Santa Clara office.
