Step into a Sr. Accountant role with leadership exposure and a clear path for growth We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join a growing real estate development company in the Chicago area. This role will take ownership of core general accounting functions while also supporting some project accounting across active developments. The position offers strong visibility to leadership and a proven opportunity for career progression.

Responsibilities:

Lead general accounting activities including month-end close and financial reporting Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and support audit requests Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Support project accounting for development projects Partner with leadership on financial performance and reporting Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 4+ years of accounting experience; real estate or construction experience preferred Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger processes Experience with project or job cost accounting is a plus Proficient in Excel and ERP accounting systems Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
