Full-time; permanent About the Opportunity Our client is a well-established, privately held manufacturing organization with a significant national presence and a strong history of growth. They are looking to add a Senior Accountant to their corporate finance team. This is a highly visible role for someone who wants more than transactional accounting. The position combines accounting, financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, and cross-functional business partnership, with meaningful exposure to leadership and operations. The organization is also experiencing continued growth, creating a strong opportunity for someone who wants to take on additional responsibility and advance within the company. What You'll Do Own accounting and reporting activities across assigned P&L and balance sheet areas. Prepare and analyze monthly financial results, including SG&A reporting and variance analysis. Explain monthly results, budget variances, and key financial drivers to business leaders. Support annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting activities. Manage accounting for capital expenditures, fixed assets, and depreciation. Track capital projects from initial approval through capitalization and partner with operations on financial impacts. Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations. Research and resolve reconciliation issues and ensure financial information is accurate and well supported. Manage accounting and monthly accruals related to customer rebates, allowances, and revenue-related reserves. Support external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, explanations, and responding to auditor requests. Partner with functional leaders and operations to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Translate financial information into clear, actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders. Identify opportunities to improve, automate, and standardize accounting and reporting processes. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CMA required 3+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong hands-on experience in close, reconciliations, and journal entries. Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Manufacturing experience strongly preferred. Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and P&L/balance sheet relationships. Advanced Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables, and basic financial modeling. Experience with an ERP system; ability to learn new financial systems quickly. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and take ownership of responsibilities. Comfortable partnering with leaders and colleagues across multiple functions. Why Consider This Opportunity?
