Pay range:

CONSUMER GOODS
client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their team. This role is ideal for candidates with 2-5 years of accounting experience who are looking to further develop their expertise but are not seeking a leadership role such as Assistant Controller or Controller at this time. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment, possess strong technical accounting knowledge, and have excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and post journal entries, complete account reconciliations, and analyze financial data for areas such as sales accruals, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, intercompany accounts, and debt. (domestic and international entities) Reconcile inventory activity, including sales, cost of goods sold, and stock movements across multiple locations, resolving discrepancies as needed. Support month-end processes by tracking and recording unrecognized sales and finalizing sales allowance data. Work with various teams to maintain accurate customer records, sales allowances, and debt-related activities such as repayments, borrowings, and interest. Manage the fixed asset ledger, including monthly depreciation schedules. Assist with sales tax reporting and ensure liability and payment data are processed correctly. Generate ad hoc financial reports and summaries to support senior management decision-making.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (CPA or CPA candidate preferred). Strong knowledge of US GAAP. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and formulas for data analysis. Experience using ERP systems (NetSuite preferred). Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and present data effectively. Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
