Senior Accountant Comp:
$90,000 – $115,000 A global, industry-leading healthcare organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its U.S. finance team, supporting a highly visible revenue accounting function within a complex, regulated environment. Why You'll Love This Senior Accountant Opportunity Clear growth trajectory (recent internal promotion from this same seat to Accounting Manager) Exposure to complex revenue accounting (IFRS 15) within a med tech/pharma environment High-visibility role partnering with commercial teams and leadership Strong work-life balance with hybrid schedule (3 days in office) Opportunity to get hands-on with SAP and drive process improvements Collaborative, cross-functional environment with audit and reporting exposure Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant Own key areas of revenue accounting, including contract review and compliance with IFRS 15 Prepare and review account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies Support rebate reserves, accruals, and revenue-related estimates Partner with commercial teams to provide insight into future revenue expectations Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close and reporting processes Support internal and external audits, including preparation of schedules and audit support materials Analyze complex accounting issues (e.g., impairment, inventory reserves) and recommend proper treatment Lead and contribute to process improvement initiatives and special projects Ideal Background for the Senior Accountant Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA a plus 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong understanding of revenue recognition (IFRS 15; ASC 606 exposure also relevant) Experience working with SAP (preferred) or Oracle ERP systems Background in med tech, pharma, or a regulated industry is a plus Proven ability to handle complex accounting areas (accruals, reserves, contract accounting) Strong Excel skills and analytical mindset Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines Demonstrated experience driving or contributing to process improvements
