Job Description
We are seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to join a growing organization in a fully remote role. This position offers the opportunity to work across multiple areas of the accounting function while taking ownership of key accounting processes and supporting day-to-day business operations. This is a fully remote position but office space is available if needed. Candidates must be located within an hour commute from Birmingham AL.The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a dynamic environment where no two days are exactly the same. This role is well suited for someone who thrives in a small to mid-sized company setting and enjoys balancing transactional accounting responsibilities with month-end accounting and asset management activities.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with month-end and year-end close activitiesPrepare and post journal entriesPerform account reconciliations and general ledger maintenanceManage fixed asset accounting, including additions, disposals, depreciation, and reconciliationsSupport company fleet administration and related recordkeepingAssist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as neededResearch and resolve accounting discrepancies and issuesMaintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentationSupport external audits and provide requested schedules and documentationIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficienciesCollaborate with operations and management on various accounting and administrative mattersFor immediate consideration, apply now or contact Bryan Rushing with Robert Half, Birmingham AL.
