Job Description:
Addison Group is partnering with a publicly traded organization to identify a Senior Accounting Manager to join its corporate accounting team. The organization offers a collaborative, team-oriented culture with strong leadership visibility and a focus on continuous improvement. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting leader to step into a strategic, hands-on role with the ability to influence processes and drive change.
Location:
Hybrid work schedule near Des Plaines, IL (Onsite Tuesday-Thursday; Remote Monday & Friday)
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the month-end close and financial reporting process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Oversee journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement analysis Navigate and manage a complex chart of accounts within a large ERP environment Drive process improvements and standardization across multiple business units Act as a change agent, helping implement structure and discipline across the organization Develop and implement standardized workflows and best practices Partner cross-functionally to support business initiatives and improve financial processes Lead internal and external audit processes, including issue identification and remediation Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and SOX requirements Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and operational efficiency
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting; advanced degree (MBA or Master's in Accounting) preferred CPA required 6+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including leadership responsibilities Public accounting experience required Strong technical accounting knowledge (US GAAP) Experience with cost accounting and revenue recognition preferred Proven leadership and team development capabilities Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities Strong communication skills with the ability to partner across functions Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $160,000 - $170,000 Performance-based bonus Comprehensive benefits package, including medical and retirement plan with company match
