You will be part of our finance team reporting to the Business Controller. In this role, your mission is to ensure accurate, compliant financial reporting and support sound business decisions through timely financial insights. You will contribute directly to how we create highquality products and solutions for our customers. Bring your curiosity to work as our next Senior Accounting Specialist. You will be part of our finance team reporting to the Business Controller. In this role, your mission is to ensure accurate, compliant financial reporting and support sound business decisions through timely financial insights. You will contribute directly to how we create highquality products and solutions for our customers. Your day-to-day
  • Recognize all revenue for completed projects (100%), and projects accounted for using the percentage of completion method.
  • Agree trial balance to revenue and cost of sales files with breakdown by Business Unit or both external and intercompany transactions
  • Update Revenue and COS file to report YTD figures for monthly reporting to Division.
  • Update Orders on Hand.
  • Review deferred cost of goods sold for in-process/completed phases, and prepare entries.
  • Prepare monthly departmental P&L review and be prepared to review/discuss with managers.
  • Prepare account flux analysis by providing explanations regarding variances.
  • Prepare reason for variances between forecast and actual.
  • Review variance between actual costs and labor/burden allocation, and utilization.
  • Prepare various journal entries
  • Reconcile warranty activity and post monthly accrual.
  • Review account transactions to determine proper accounting treatment.
  • Commission Review for Monthly Payout Schedule.
  • Post Payroll Journal Entries.
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations. Your skills and experience
  • Knowledge of general accounting procedures, with strong focus on revenue recognition, including percentage of completion and cost of sales reporting.
  • 365 Office applications and familiarity with various ERP accounting systems.
  • 4-7 years of general accounting experience.
  • Self-starter with ability to quickly understand and resolve complex problems.
  • Recognized for strong analytical thinking, meticulous attention to detail, and accuracy in reporting.
  • Maintain a high level of interpersonal communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to documentation and record-keeping.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality
