Job Description

Vaco is hiring for a Senior Corporate Accountant role in
Twinsburg OH Direct Hire, Hybrid Schedule Salary:
85-95,000/yr + Bonus Responsibilities Prepare, review, and analyze monthly journal entries related to corporate accounting processes and month-end close. Perform balance sheet reconciliations, account analysis, accrual calculations, lead sheets, and other related accounting schedules. Research variances, reconciling items, and unusual balances, ensuring issues are resolved timely and clearly documented. Assist with the preparation of intercompany billings and reconcile related accounts on a monthly basis. Investigate, maintain, and support financial reporting adjustments used in the enterprise consolidation process. Review accounting submissions, reconciliations, and supporting schedules received from divisional controllers for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to company standards. Partner with divisional controllers to clarify expectations, resolve accounting issues, and drive timely completion of close deliverables. Serve as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for financial consolidation software. Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data. Analyze and explain variances to prior periods, forecasts, and budgets for assigned areas of responsibility. Support month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Collaborate with independent auditors and insurance auditors to support audits and maintain compliance with financial reporting requirements. Assist in identifying process improvements, documenting policies and procedures, and strengthening internal controls. Recommend enhancements to accounting processes, workflows, and supporting documentation to improve efficiency, consistency, and accuracy. Cross-train as backup support for other accounting team members as business needs require. Qualifications Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Advanced technical accounting skills, including reconciliations, accruals, lead sheets, account analysis, and close support. Ability to review, evaluate, and improve accounting work prepared by others. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments and business partners. Ability to communicate professionally with all levels of an organization. Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Strong research, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Experience operating in a fast-paced environment requiring analytical responses to complex business issues. Highly organized with the ability to manage concurrent deadlines and shifting priorities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; MBA preferred. Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience. Experience in corporate accounting, multi-entity environments, and financial consolidations strongly preferred. CPA designation preferred but not required. Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
