This role drives the full A/P cycle—from vendor invoice processing and royalty/commission calculations through payment runs, aged A/P management, and reconciliation—and is responsible for timely and accurate filing of all tax obligations. The Staff Accountant also leads balance sheet reconciliations, supports the monthly close, and partners with the Financial Controller on process improvements, controls, and reporting. The role requires sound accounting judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally with other departments to ensure the integrity of the company's financial records. Duties & Responsibilities include: Owning the full accounts payable cycle: ensuring all vendor invoices are accurately recorded and paid in a timely manner, and that the A/P ledger is correct and current at all times Owning the royalties and commissions process end-to-end: calculating, posting, paying, and reconciling all royalties and commissions Maintaining Aged A/P and Days Payable Outstanding (DPO) calculations, using the data to identify and recommend cash management or process improvements Filing, paying, and posting all required tax returns and balances due by their respective deadlines each month Calculating and reconciling various monthly accruals Reconciling bank and credit card accounts on a monthly basis Leading the reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts each month, identifying and resolving discrepancies and reconciling items Participating in and support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes. Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or progress toward CPA strongly preferred 5-7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with demonstrated ownership of A/P or full-cycle accounting processes Strong understanding of US GAAP, financial reporting principles, and internal controls Advanced Excel skills required. Experience with ERP/Accounting systems required, with a strong preference for Microsoft Dynamics Business Central and Power BI reporting
