Sr. Accountant

Description We are seeking a Senior Accountant for a local nonprofit client. This role is responsible for supporting and maintaining core financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, procurement processing, and the upkeep of accurate and organized financial records. In addition to day-to-day accounting responsibilities, this position supports financial reporting efforts by preparing materials for leadership and board-related meetings and may serve as a backup representative for senior finance leadership when needed. The Senior Accountant also plays a key role in strengthening internal processes by assisting with the development and implementation of accounting procedures that improve accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls. This role ensures compliance with applicable accounting standards and organizational policies while supporting clear, reliable financial reporting. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication across teams are essential. This is a hybrid position, offering a combination of in-office and remote work flexibility.
