What We're Looking For We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with a background in retail accounting, preferably online retail, and a strong understanding of inventory accounting. This role will report directly to the Financial Controller and will play a critical part in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting financial decision-making as the company scales. Manage day-to-day inventory accounting, including cost tracking, reconciliations, and inventory valuation. Ensure accurate recording of revenue, expenses, and COGS, aligning with retail best practices. Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations and supply chain, to monitor inventory levels and resolve discrepancies. Assist with financial audits, tax filings, and compliance requirements. Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements for efficiency and scalability.
Requirements:
Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of accounting experience, with a strong preference for retail (online retail experience is a plus). Solid understanding of inventory accounting, including standard costing, reconciliations, and valuation. Experience with ERP or accounting software (Ideally NetSuite, or similar). Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced, growing environment and collaborate across teams. Top Reasons to Work with Us Competitive base compensation, paid vacation/holidays, health & dental benefits, and 401k + matching. Hybrid work environment, casual dress code. Potential for rapid growth/responsibility within our company. As a mature startup in the ecommerce space, the sky's the limit! Great collaborative, tight-knit team environment (that likes to have fun!) Our company was founded on the Golden Rule, and we have a culture centered around kindness, gratitude, and customer appreciation.
