In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing core accounting functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and supporting financial reporting processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing organization by applying your expertise in corporate and governmental accounting, financial software, and payroll management. Your energetic approach and strong analytical skills will help drive accurate financial data entry, account reconciliation, and ledger maintenance. Responsibilities Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring accuracy in debits and credits across the general ledger. Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis to verify financial integrity. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing and vendor payments. Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including financial statement preparation in accordance with GAAP. Assist with audit preparations, SOX compliance documentation, and internal controls review. Utilize various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, or Workday to record transactions accurately. Perform data entry tasks with precision using 10 key typing skills and double-entry bookkeeping methods. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CPA candidate preferred. Proven experience in corporate accounting or public accounting environments. Strong knowledge of GAAP, governmental accounting standards, and financial concepts. Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Workday, ADP, Ceridian, Kronos or UltiPro. Ability to perform account reconciliation, journal entries, and balance sheet analysis efficiently. Excellent math skills combined with strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
