The ideal candidate will have strong Microsoft Excel skills, extensive reconciliation experience, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. The Interim Accountant role is a hybrid position. This is a consulting position. Interim Accountant Responsibilities Perform high-volume reconciliations related to freight, duties, and tariffs, ensuring discrepancies are thoroughly investigated and resolved. Analyze large data sets and information downloaded from various systems to support accurate and efficient reconciliation processes. Research and investigate discrepancies, identify potential causes, and work toward timely resolutions. Support recurring month-end close activities and complete assigned accounting responsibilities within established deadlines. Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to review financial information, identify inconsistencies, and support accurate accounting records. Learn freight, duty, and tariff processes and apply established reconciliation skills to these areas. Interim Accountant Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience. Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, downloading data from other systems, and manipulating large data sets. Demonstrated reconciliation experience, including the ability to research discrepancies, analyze supporting information, and determine appropriate resolutions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a natural curiosity and a willingness to investigate issues thoroughly. Ability to manage high-volume reconciliation work while maintaining accuracy and a sense of urgency. A continuous improvement mindset and eagerness to learn new processes. SAP experience preferred, but not required.
