As the organization continues to grow, they are seeking a Staff Accountant to join their finance team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, professional environment with exposure to a broad range of accounting responsibilities and business operations. The position follows a hybrid schedule with three days per week in the Chicago office and two days working remotely. Responsibilities Prepare and maintain general ledger account reconciliations. Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes. Record journal entries and ensure compliance with accounting policies. Review and process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. Assist with billing, client invoicing, and collections activities. Support preparation of financial statements and management reports. Analyze financial data and investigate account discrepancies. Assist with external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting. Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation. Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting 1+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a professional services, public accounting, or corporate environment. Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
