Job Description
U.S. GAAP.
You are detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced accounting environment. You will support the Finance team with general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, financial analysis, and month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.This position pays:
$30/hourLocation :
Fremont, CA (hybrid schedule) What you will be doing: Prepare and record accurate and timely journal entries. Maintain the general ledger and ensure transactions are properly recorded. Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities. Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations. Review and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues. Analyze account and financial variances and provide explanations to the Controller. Ensure accounting activities comply with U.S. GAAP, company policies, and internal controls. Partner closely with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Finance, and other accounting team members. Research and resolve general ledger discrepancies. Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation. Assist with financial reporting and other accounting projects as needed. Manage multiple accounting priorities while consistently meeting reporting and close deadlines.What you bring:
Strong hands-on general ledger accounting experience. Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and accounting principles. Experience preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations. Hands-on experience with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close. Strong balance sheet reconciliation and variance analysis experience. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision after the initial training period. Must be local to the Fremont area and available to work in a hybrid environment. Ability to successfully complete a standard background check.
