Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accountant to support the trucking companies day-to-day financial operations. This role will be responsible for accounts receivable, accounts payable, internal bookkeeping, and records management . The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced transportation and logistics environment. Duties Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory requirements. Perform account reconciliations, including general ledger reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and account analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online. Conduct journal entries, double entry bookkeeping, and accrual accounting to record financial transactions accurately. Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including balance sheet reconciliation and financial report writing. Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proven experience in corporate accounting or public accounting environments demonstrating strong technical skills. Familiarity with GAAP standards and regulatory frameworks such as SOX compliance is highly desirable. Hands-on experience with accounting software including Quickbooks Online. Strong understanding of financial concepts such as debits & credits, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation, cash flow analysis, and financial statement preparation. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes.
