Requirements:
Background and drug screening Join a mission-driven organization as a Staff Accountant•you'll play a key role in maintaining accurate financials, supporting month-end close, and improving processes—including a transition to Workday. Key Responsibilities Perform full-cycle staff accounting (journal entries, reconciliations, trial balance review) Support month-end close and assist during peak close periods Manage bank activity, cash monitoring, and account reconciliations Process payroll-related entries and billing activity Ensure GAAP compliance and adherence to internal controls Assist with audits and Form 990 preparation Create and maintain SOPs; contribute to process improvements Collaborate cross-functionally and provide support across accounting functions May require extended availability during month-end close What You Bring 4+ years of accounting experience (degree preferred, not required) Strong understanding of debits/credits, reconciliations, and journal entries Experience with bank entries, credit card inputs, and invoicing (including out-of-state entities) Proficient in Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) Experience with financial systems (Workday a major plus) Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple deadlines Bonus Experience Nonprofit accounting exposure Systems like Blackbaud, Adaptive Planning, or SAP Concur Experience supporting ERP implementations or system transitions
