Staff Accountant Reports to:

Controller Description:

Home Run Financing is seeking a Staff Accountant. Located in Los Gatos, CA, the Staff Accountant will be a full-time position reporting to the controller with a hybrid schedule of working in office and at home.

Your responsibilities in this role:

Own primary accounting functions across accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, month-end close, and consolidations Perform month-end and quarter-end close activities, including preparation of monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations Maintain the fixed asset schedule to reflect monthly changes and ensure totals tie to the trial balance Manage day-to-day vendor relationships, serving as a primary point of contact for vendor inquiries and issue resolution Prepare and reconcile payroll JEs and expense reports across Bill.com and QuickBooks Online to ensure accuracy and consistency Produce accurate, error-free accounting reports and present results to the team Respond to and support departmental inquiries Support the accounting team's commitment to timely, accurate processing of transactions in accordance with US GAAP and the company's internal controls Proactively identify issues and implement process improvements to streamline and automate accounting workflows Prepare and file annual 1099 Support the annual external audit Handle incoming mail and scan/distribute to designated employees

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business In-depth knowledge of US generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) Command of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook Experience with QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, Paylocity, and Expensify or similar preferred Excellent attention to detail Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
