Hybrid About the Role A growing manufacturing company is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its accounting team. This role will support general ledger accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, accounts receivable, and other core accounting functions. Responsibilities Perform day-to-day general ledger accounting, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, prepaids, accruals, and other balance sheet reconciliations. Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes. Oversee accounts receivable activities, including customer follow-up, encouraging ACH payments, and preparing weekly AR aging reports. Process and support payroll, 401(k) reporting, banking transactions, and accounts payable. Assist with use tax and other federal, state, and local tax reporting and compliance. Support annual financial audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests. Assist with cost accounting and financial analysis. Review and import expense reports into the accounting system. Maintain accurate financial records and support GAAP compliance. Participate in special projects and ad hoc accounting initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3+ years of general ledger accounting experience, including journal entries, reconciliations, prepaids, and related accounting functions. OR public accounting/audit experience. Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs . Manufacturing experience is a plus. Payroll experience is a plus and would be helpful as a backup function. Systems NetSuite
