You will be responsible for providing accounting support, requiring familiarity with and experience in accounting practices. This role involves processing billing, payment application, researching checks, and disbursements. You will also be responsible for responding professionally to both internal and external communications. Responsibilities Perform disbursements, billing, payment applications, and administrative system accounting reports and/or consolidated statements. Analyze and maintain accounts and/or client insured records. Prepare and analyze various accounting reports including variances, disbursements, billing, and statements. Ensure timely and accurate processing of accounting reports. Perform variation and trend analysis for key accounts or reports. Assist with the development, implementation, and documentation of internal and external accounting and operating policies, procedures, and process improvements. Ensure compliance with corporate policies, carrier agreements, SOX procedures, SSAE16 procedures, tax regulations, local
GAAP, US
GAAP, and local statutory regulations regarding financial matters. Essential Skills Proficiency with general ledger, journal entry, cash reconciliation, cash flow analysis, and commissioning. Intermediate to advanced proficiency with MS Excel. 1-3 years of experience in finance or accounting. Additional Skills & Qualifications Associate's degree in a relevant field. Good organizational skills and teamwork. Work Environment This position offers a hybrid work environment. The initial 4 to 8 weeks of training will be conducted in the office. As your knowledge base increases, in-office days will be reduced. Once a solid base of knowledge is acquired, you will switch to a hybrid schedule, working in the office as a team every Tuesday and every other Monday. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Urbandale, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
