POSITION SUMMARY
Reconciles general ledger accounts daily; prepares formal reconciliation reports on a monthly basis. Utilizing customized reports, researches and resolves outstanding transactions. Maintains fixed asset and prepaid expense journal. Works independently under the supervision of the Controller.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepares fixed asset accounting reports. Tracks and manages fixed asset records in the Bank's fixed asset accounting system and the general ledger. Prepares accounting related entries, including prepaid and accrued expense entries. Maintains prepaid expenses in the fixed asset accounting system. Processes and posts investment security principal and interest payments. Completes daily, weekly and/or monthly general ledger reconciliations and submits to the Controller. Tracks and retains all bank reconciliations. Answers accounting questions by researching and interpreting data. Prepares documentation for external auditors and regulatory agencies. Follows the Bank's established accounting processes. Recommends changes by analyzing current procedures. Implements approved process revisions.

REQUIRED SKILLS
Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills. Skilled in adopting and leveraging technologies to enhance efficiency, communication, and task management. Strong proficiency in various finance and accounting related software programs with advanced Excel spreadsheet aptitude. Experience in managing multiple projects and workflow in a deadline driven environment. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work is generally performed in an office environment, with frequent interruptions. Ability to stay in a stationary position, operate a computer, move inside the workplace and exchange information. This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement in accordance with Webster Five's Remote Work Policy.
MINIMUM EDUCATION
Associate's Degree in related discipline or equivalent years of experience.
