We are hiring a Staff Accountant to support a mix of work: prior month accounting projects for client engagements and current, ongoing accounting for the companies we own and operate. You'll manage workflows across general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and month-end close, and you'll work alongside leadership to keep our books — and our clients' books — clean and completed. This is a hands-on role for someone who likes solving problems, building better processes, and using modern tools — including AI — to get more done efficiently. What you'll do Maintain the general ledger and post journal entries across multiple entities Manage AR and AP workflows, including invoice imports, payment applications, and vendor coding Reconcile bank, credit card, and intercompany accounts monthly Prepare month-end close schedules, deferred revenue rollforwards, and supporting workpapers Build and refine Excel-based reporting, reconciliations, and import templates Work with leadership to streamline recurring workflows and improve close timelines Use Claude (our AI assistant) to automate repeatable accounting tasks, prep imports, and accelerate analysis What we're looking for 3-5 years of full-cycle accounting experience Strong QuickBooks experience (Desktop/Enterprise a plus) Advanced Excel — comfortable with lookups, pivots, structured references, and large data sets Demonstrated familiarity with Claude (Anthropic's AI assistant) - we use Claude to prep a lot of data imports into QB Solid grasp of GAAP fundamentals: accruals, deferrals, reconciliations, and journal entry mechanics High attention to detail and ownership over your own work product Clear written communication — you can explain what you did and why Nice to have Experience with Transaction Pro Importer, or similar QB data tools Multi-entity or intercompany accounting experience Background in financial services, lending, or other transaction-heavy industries Experience building or maintaining automation workflows (Claude skills, macros, scripts) Why Iron Bridge Hybrid schedule with flexibility Real exposure to multiple entities and the operational side of the business A team that actually uses AI tools to work smarter Room to grow into more senior accounting and operations work How to apply Apply through Indeed with your resume.
