Type:
full-time Global Electronics Association is seeking a Staff Accountant. The Staff Accountant supports the month-end close, general ledger maintenance, payroll processing, and HRIS administration. This role owns end-to-end payroll in ADP, partners with HR on employee data integrity, and performs core accounting functions to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Payroll and HRIS Prepare, process, and reconcile multi-state biweekly payroll in ADP. Maintain employee records and compensation changes within HRIS; ensure data integrity and compliance. Administer payroll-related taxes, benefits deductions, and garnishments; coordinate year-end W-2s. Partner with HR on onboarding/offboarding, timekeeping, and policy compliance. General Accounting and Close Assist with full-cycle month-end and year-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts; investigate and resolve variances. Prepare balance sheet schedules and support flux analyses. Financial Reporting and Compliance Support preparation of financial statements and management reports. Assist with audits (external, internal) by compiling schedules and documentation. Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies; support internal control improvements. AP/AR and Cash Oversee complex AP/AR issues as needed; review aging and payment runs for accuracy. Perform cash reconciliations and bank settlements; support treasury activities. Systems and Process Improvement Serve as an ADP and HRIS super-user; drive automations and process efficiencies. Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline workflows and enhance data quality.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related field. 4+ years of progressive accounting experience. Proficiency with ADP payroll and HRIS platforms. Strong Excel skills (lookups, pivots, reconciliations). Experience with mid-market ERPs (e.g., NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, or similar). Familiarity with AI agent use in support of Accounting task. Solid understanding of US GAAP, payroll tax compliance, and internal controls. Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, strong communication and stakeholder partnership.
