About the Role
HERITA USA
is seeking a hands-on Staff Accountant to join our Finance team in Miami Beach. The position will support the accounting and financial operations of HERITA USA and ROCO Winery and will work closely with our U.S. Finance team and corporate Finance organization. This role combines day-to-day transactional accounting responsibilities with general ledger, reconciliation, and month-end close activities. We are looking for someone who is comfortable being hands-on with AP, AR, expenses, and banking activities while also having the accounting knowledge and experience to analyze accounts, prepare journal entries, investigate discrepancies, and support the broader financial close. The position is well suited for an accounting professional who wants to expand their experience across the full accounting cycle and grow within an international Finance organization. Key Responsibilities
  • Support day-to-day accounting activities for HERITA USA and ROCO Winery.
  • Perform Accounts Payable activities, including invoice review, coding, vendor account reconciliation, and payment support.
  • Support Accounts Receivable activities, including customer account reconciliation, cash application, collections support, and resolution of discrepancies.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations and investigate reconciling items through resolution.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, and accounting adjustments.
  • Perform general ledger and balance-sheet account reconciliations and investigate unusual or outstanding balances.
  • Support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
  • Process and reconcile employee expenses and corporate card activity, including Concur transactions.
  • Support cash management and banking activities as required.
  • Review transactions for appropriate GL accounts, cost centers, internal orders, and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and organized supporting documentation.
  • Provide cross-coverage within the Finance team to maintain continuity of critical accounting processes.
  • Work collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, Operations, HR, IT, and the corporate Finance team.
  • Participate in Finance process improvements, documentation of procedures/SOPs, and increased utilization of SAP and other Finance systems.
  • Take ownership of assigned accounting activities and follow issues through to resolution.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. Hands-on
SAP S/4HANA
accounting experience is preferred. Experience with AP, AR, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and account reconciliations. Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, including debits and credits. Experience preparing or supporting journal entries and month-end close activities. Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Ability to analyze accounting transactions and independently investigate discrepancies. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to manage recurring transactional responsibilities while meeting month-end deadlines. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability and willingness to work in a hands-on accounting environment and provide cross-functional support as business needs require. Preferred Qualifications Experience with intercompany accounting, treasury/banking, inventory accounting, or multi-entity environments is highly desirable. Work Location & Hybrid Schedule This position is based at our office in Miami Beach, FL 33139. Candidates must be comfortable commuting to and working from this location. The successful candidate will initially work in the office during the training and onboarding period to become familiar with our team, systems, processes, and business. Following successful completion of training, the position will transition to a hybrid work arrangement, subject to company policy and business needs. What Success Looks Like We are looking for someone who is willing to own the details while understanding the bigger accounting picture. The successful candidate will be comfortable processing transactions when needed, but will also ask why an account does not reconcile, understand the accounting behind a journal entry, investigate discrepancies, and follow open items through resolution. As the individual develops in the role, there will be opportunities to gain broader exposure to full-cycle accounting, financial close, reporting, intercompany accounting, and other areas of Finance.

$65,000.00
