Job Description

Job Description Haffner & Associates LLC CPAs is a small Public firm in the Lehigh Valley. In order to meet the needs of our client base, we are looking to add a Staff or Senior Tax Accountant position to our team who will work closely with the Partner and management, as well as the clients they serve. With a pleasant/flexible office environment and a supportive team, we strive to offer a high level of service and communication to our clients throughout the year. The majority of our business clients are family-owned S-Corporations in a variety of industries. After a period of transition, a combination of in-office and remote work can be implemented. Salary will be based on the extent of related experience. There is potential for professional growth within our office. Benefits Include 401(K) with safe harbor match, health, vision, dental and disability insurance.
Job Responsibilities :
  • Prepare multi-state business, fiduciary, and individual tax returns
  • Use research and in-depth knowledge of client's business to advise tax planning strategies
  • Research to resolve issues pertaining to IRS, State and Local tax notices
  • Regular client communication
  • office meetings and on-site
  • Supervisory responsibilities could develop with this new position
Requirements :
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • CPA or EA a plus
  • At least 2-5 years of experience at a public accounting firm
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Strong writing, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Organized, self-motivated, strong work ethic and goal oriented
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Experience preparing Compilations and Reviews a plus
