As a Tax Accountant, you'll play a key role in ensuring accurate tax reporting and compliance across our growing organization. You'll work with restaurant leaders, business partners, and external advisors to help keep our tax processes running smoothly while contributing to projects that drive efficiency and continuous improvement. If you enjoy working with numbers, solving problems, and collaborating with a variety of teams, this could be the perfect seat at the table for you. •This is an on-site position working a hybrid schedule (minimum 4 days in the office weekly) at the Texas Roadhouse Support Center in Louisville, Kentucky What's On Your Plate Prepare and validate data used for monthly sales and use tax filings. Compile, reconcile, and maintain data supporting annual property tax returns. Process monthly real estate tax payments accurately and on time. Prepare journal entries and perform account reconciliations. Assist with tax notices, audits, and real estate tax appeals. Build strong relationships with restaurant operators, internal partners, and external tax providers. Identify opportunities to improve processes and support special projects. Help adapt tax and reporting processes as business needs, technology, and regulations evolve. Your Recipe for Success Bachelor's degree in Business required; Accounting or Finance preferred. 2+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or tax required. Experience with corporate sales tax, use tax, or property tax is a plus. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills and a customer-service mindset. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Experience with D365, OneSource, Vertex, Business Intelligence tools, Basware, Alteryx, Savant, Power Automate, or SQL is a bonus.
