This role is well suited for someone who can manage financial records accurately, contribute to tax-related activities, and help maintain the integrity of the general ledger. The ideal candidate brings a strong grasp of day-to-day accounting practices and can work effectively across routine reporting and compliance tasks.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and record journal entries to ensure financial transactions are accurately reflected in the accounting system. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, investigating discrepancies and resolving issues in a timely manner. Support the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns in accordance with applicable regulations and deadlines. Handle sales tax reporting activities, including reviewing transactions and assisting with timely submissions. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes by organizing supporting documentation and completing assigned accounting tasks. Review financial data for accuracy and consistency, helping strengthen reporting reliability and internal controls. Partner with internal teams to gather accounting information and respond to questions related to financial records. Experience performing staff accounting duties in a corporate or business environment. Working knowledge of corporate tax processes, including preparation support for corporate tax returns. Familiarity with sales tax reporting requirements and related accounting treatment. Proficiency in preparing journal entries and maintaining accurate financial records. Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation practices. High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively. Solid communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
