Create standard monthly journal entries (inter-company, standard reclassification and booking entries). Edits, obtains approvals for and posts monthly journal entries created by others. Prints and maintains month-end audit trail documentation. Performs monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Assists in the preparation of month-end reports. Coordinates and performs audits of general ledger accounts and accounts payable vendors as directed. Researches and responds to monthly P&L inquiry forms submitted by field personnel. Assists in general ledger report development and design and requested modifications. Assists in the maintenance of the fixed asset sub ledger. Updates and maintains standard accounting desk procedures/documentation in a centralized area. Serves as a standard back-up for banking report preparation and general treasury services. Assists controller and senior accountant as needed. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.What You Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. Minimum of two years of accounting experience preferred. Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) Payroll & HR software experience strongly preferred. Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) experience required. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills required. Ability to work under limited supervision required.
